Dr. Kathy Bence' describes her book on insights from women saints: 

When I wrote Under Her Wings, my hope was that modern women could connect with these women from the past who were such great lovers of the Lord. I hoped to modernize the language enough that modern women could relate to these spiritual giants of the past.

I have run into women all around the country who have used the book as a group study and loved it. It works as a discussion group book or for an individual meditation.

The five women saints I chose to highlight are:

Catherine of Siena ( Italy , 1300’s)
Julian of Norwich ( England , 1300’s)
Teresa of Avila ( Spain , 1500’s)
Madam Guyon ( France , 1600’s)
Therese of Lisieux (France, 1800’s)

All led fascinating lives and made significant contributions to the history of the Christian Church. But it is their personal love stories with Jesus which captivated me and I hope you, too.
