Northwest Ministry Resources We at KOINOS want you to know about other western Washington ministries that could benefit you and people you know. (If you wish to nominate other ministries for inclusion on this page, send information on that ministry to Phil Bence at the KOINOS office at koinos@verizon.net or 1425 NW 195th Street, Seattle, WA 98177.) Evangelism resources: Search Seattle--Teaching Christians to share their faith in the postmodern era. Brent Kendall of Sammamish is eager to come to speak to your Christian group to offer four simple principles laying out how believers can more naturally and comfortably share their faith with pre-Christians. Brent offers another seminar that helps Christians respond gently and knowingly to the twelve most common intellectual barriers that hinder non-believers from accepting Jesus as Savior. Discipleship resources: Worldview Matters--A Seattle-based ministry that helps Christians see differences between worldviews that surround them and a Christ-honoring worldview. Bible Study Fellowship International--An organization offering (in many places around the world) intensive Bible classes for laypeople. Perspectives on the World Christian Mission--A series of seminars focusing on Christian mission around the globe. These seminars are held in many locations around North America, including western Washington. SALT (Scripture and Leadership Training) is a non-credit certificate program offered through the Seattle University School of Theology and Ministry. The program provides a holistic course of study integrating Scripture, spirituality and leadership training. Resources for Developing Church Leaders: The Columbia Leadership Network seeks to build congregations by strengthening leaders. The Network brings people of the Pacific Northwest together for leadership education, formation, and support. Resources for Christians in the Business World: The local chapters of Pinnacle Forum seek to inspire leaders to magnify Christ by helping them live and speak for Jesus among the highest levels of leadership in our region, state, and nation within their sphere of influence. KIROS is designed to connect, encourage and equip Christian business people in the marketplace by sponsoring monthly breakfast meetings and other small group activities, providing connecting experiences for Christians who are seeking to more effectively integrate their work and faith. Resources for Christian counseling: Cedar
Park Counseling Network Families Northwest--Making the Northwest the world's premier place for marriage, family life, and children. Resources for post-prison ministries: Rev. Bill Clements, Pastor of Redeemer Lutheran Church on Mercer Island, directs a ministry within prisons and to those who are about to be, or recently have been, released from area prisons. Other Christian resources: Kuai Mu Institute for Christianity and World Cultures--A Seattle-based ministry that helps Christians explore relationships between western and eastern religions and cultures. Mustard Seed Associates--Mustard Seed Associates is committed to enabling followers of Jesus Christ to put first things first: creating new ways, in community with others, to engage the new challenges of a new century. We particularly want to be supportive of what God is doing through a new generation of leaders. That You May Know--A ministry known particularly for the manner in which its director dramatizes Scripture, using only the words of several memorized Bible books.
