KOINOS
SEMINARS GROUPED AROUND THE THEME OF PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY

Jesus meant our relationship with him to be central, the factor around which all the rest of life revolves. If you would like to help make this principle a reality in the lives of Christians in your church, why not consider bringing one ore more of the following seminars to your church?

The following seminars (individually or in a series of your choosing) focus on how we can live as Christ-followers seven days a week.

Would you like to see dates on which the following seminars are currently being offered?

Current KOINOS Practical Christianity seminars include:

Improving your relationships
What is God's ideal for our relationships? In real-life terms what does it mean to love one's neighbor as oneself? Do we have the same obligation to love all our 'neighbors' in the same way? This seminar examines biblical teaching on these questions and more.

Handling personal finances
Does God have a plan for our financial lives? If I tithe, I can do what I want with the rest of my income, right? Scripture says far more about money than many Christians think. How practical are some of its seemingly impractical financial instructions? This seminar combines both biblical theology and practical teaching from one with years as a wise steward of God's resources.

Bringing together your occupation and your vocation
God wants you to see your occupation as a vocation, as a calling from him. That's a nice true statement, but what does it mean for a public school teacher, an office assistant, a lawyer, or a salesperson? This seminar offers practical hints on integrating your Christian faith into those 40+ hours per week.

Living in a post-modern world—the Northwest
The gospel has not changed, but the address to which we deliver it certainly has. What does it mean to live in a world that is seemingly more open to spiritual matters, yet still rejects Jesus as Savior? How do we bring Scriptural living and Northwest lifestyles together? In layperson language, this seminar introduces you to the new world in which we live.

Using technology (without letting technology use you)
Most of us take technology (cell phones, computers, medical technology) for granted. We have no idea how much our electronic devices have changed life in the last thirty years. This seminar goes beyond a discussion of the evils of internet pornography (serious though they may be) to examine the often ignored impact technology has had on such crucial life themes such as relationships, worship, and communication.

Setting personal priorities
Today's pace of life seems to drive so many of us. At the end of many days, we wonder who or what drove us through the race. Would you like to hear some wonderful insights on how God and you can regain control of your actions and attitudes? Plan to attend this seminar.

Recreation—(using free time to re-create yourself and others)
Who in the Northwest needs a seminar on recreation? We Christians who are looking for more than new ways to take time off, but true means of allowing God, in our expendable time, to re-create ourselves.
